Kodak Ultramax // Nikon FG
I’ve been walking around NYC, photographing it for some time now, trying to see it in a different way. I can only describe it as, “up close and personal.”
I’ve always loved Ernst Haas and his work has been on my mind lately. Specifically, his really vibrant and close up color and texture explorations. I’ll show you an example.

Here’s one of his photos that I took inspiration from and have been using lately to inform my own work.
The influence should be clear in a minute when you see what I shot using Kodak Ultramax inside my Nikon FG. Without further ado, lets check it out.
Now, I’m a far way off from achieving Haas-level technique, but it’s a step in the right direction. I particularly like this one:

Yeah, it’s a bunch of cats. I can’t help but photograph them.
